The invitation card which I happened to distribute it to approximately 300 people, began from Socialites, Bloggers, Publishing Company, Photographers up to Facebook Fans. All in 4 days, to be exact. Not to mention, I had quite issue with the printing process and missing information during the period. Luckily, I somehow just took care of it well.
As I was insanely busy, I had to tell you that I weren't actually be able to spend taking pictures at the bustling backstage. To be clear, I was pretty much handling the invitee's seating arrangements all by myself in less than an hour. I was assigned to be in-charge of lighting during the show, where I was switched to help the emcee to make her script for the show.
I initially were placed in the receptionist desk, to greet all the guests and media arrival. Since I was stressing my head out inside, figuring out who to sit on which, I had to let myself stay inside and give out my initial task to other staffs. Apparently, my task just didn't stop there, I actually needed to also ensure that all those sport cars gang park right in front of the entrance. Indirectly, I was said to be the event organizer for the show.
The show began at 3:45 PM. 42 Dresses, 15 Models and wrapped into 2 collections. First collection, named Episode 1 with 30 Dresses, was something that more chic & young covered by playful sense. Black & White was totally inspired by the fashion-forward image of the instant fashion icons in 60's and the print of stripes hitting up on a simple silhouette.
Applying lighter embellishment, featuring variety of glass bids, crystal bids, Swarovski stone to compliment the total look. The collection also pioneers on the perception of motor sport which adds the feeling of masculinity yet romantic. Jovian’s fabrication for this collection consists of Thai Silk, Italian Silk & also Chiffon.
Light deemed and the second collection began. The inspiration is massively gained by a Parisian couture workmanship as to be able to play along with the most superior fabrics from Italy & Paris. This collection would be seemed to cover the runway walk with the fabulous champagne colors, salmon pink, sweet baby blue, caramel brown and lime green.
Selecting to suit the best embellishments that appear to be delicate is one of Jovian’s favorite processes in making each of the garments. Swarovski crystal, fine Italian embroidery, ornamented feathers, dramatic glass bids, well-cut lace paths and fully sequined materials emerge together, gracefully.
As described, the first episode is seemingly to be committed to young and chic personality. Becoming more playful, energetic and dashing is what the Lebaran 2011 – Episode 1 trying to capture audience’s eyes. On the other hand, Lebaran 2011 – Episode 2 is portrayed to be more serious, elegant, noble but yet exotic in the same time.
The grand finale took place, the final bow by the designer, Jovian Mandagie were blissfully appeared. He seemed to be gladly happy as the show went fabulous as what he wished to expect. Nothing really beat the excitement I had, once the show was over. It was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! :)
I would just like to thank all the guests who had come and cheered the show up. I learned so much in handling this event, despite all the rush and insanity happened throughout the making. I am gratefully HAPPY!
What a sweet experience to end my internship. It has now reached to the 8th week of my internship. Hopefully, I could put much more input in the midst of my full-time position. Thank you for reading! Wish you all have a very relax Thursday evening! Can't wait for the weekend.. :)
